Hamilton’s childhood babysitter shares delightful memories of the f1 legend

Sir Lewis Hamilton, the most successful driver in F1 history, celebrating his 37th birthday today. The Brit continues the silents on his social media following the season ending dramatic Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, who lost record breaking eighth championship title.

Hamilton’s babysitter Bruce Harris has shares photos and memories of his childhood nature. Harris used to live in Stevenage while Hamilton was toddler.

‘I remember when I first saw him he was such a chubby boy with really frizzy Afro hair. Whenever we went out with him people always used to comment on it.

‘He used to absolutely look to the neighbours’ theme tune. Where ever he was in the house he would just run to the TV and start dancing in front of it. He just loved it.

‘He was good as gold to look after and I can never remember him crying. He wasn’t a fussy boy either and he’d eat anything you put in front of him and always seemed happy.

‘At that time we had a whippet-cross called Ben and they were always playing together in the garden. It was a lovely time we spent with him and I’m glad the way he’s turned out and we both wish him all the best for the future.’

One of the pictures shared by Harris is currently the F1 driver’s Instagram profile picture, which is a suggestion that the pair are still in touch with each other all these years later.

2022 F1 organisation chart

FIA Formula 1 Race Director Michael Masi has been utterly criticised following his 2021 F1 final lap decisions, which was decided the driver’s championship. Masi’s strange safety car call benefitted to Max Verstappen who beaten Lewis Hamilton to F1 title.

Meanwhile, the new FIA Organisation Chart has been released for the month of January 2022, and Masi is absent on the list under the single-seater section, this is first organisation chart after newly elected FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who replaced Jean Todt.

Initially Mercedes protested the results following the 2021 F1 season finale Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Silver Arrows withdrew its appeal after the FIA dedicated to launching an “analysis and clarification exercise”.

Also, a ‘senior source’ said that Mercedes had a deal agreeing to drop their appeal as long as Masi and Nikolas Tombazis, the FIA’s head of single-seater technical matters, were fired.

Masi has served as the race director for F1 since March 2019 when predecessor Charlie Whiting died just days before that year’s F1 season was due to start.

Recently Sky sports reported that, FIA confirms that Abu Dhabi Grand Prix investigation will complete in early February. Even as Mercedes still claiming that Masi contravened FIA regulations in doing so. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff expressed that Hamilton being “disillusioned” after he was “robbed” of a record-breaking eighth title. The Seven-time F1 world champion has not communicated publicly or on social media in a month.

Sky Sports F1 reporter Slater said that: “They (Mercedes) want to find out what the FIA decide should be the fall-out from what went on over those final laps in Abu Dhabi where, as far as they are concerned, Lewis Hamilton lost an eighth World title because of a misreading of the rules, chiefly by race director Michael Masi.

“I can report that three weeks is how long the FIA have set themselves to deal with this matter. Work only began in earnest on it on Monday [January 10], that’s to say this FIA commission started to interview those involved.

“This is going to go on. The FIA have told me they will not be dragging this out. It was a concern of Mercedes that it would take so long that it would jeopardise Lewis Hamilton’s pre-season, if he didn’t have these findings well in advance and could take a decision about 2022.

“They also say to me that the [internal] investigation will be thorough, objective and transparent as well. This should be done by February 3rd, at which point the FIA have a [World] Motor Sport Council meeting and hopefully they expect to announce those findings by then.”

Many trusted news sources reported that, seven-time F1 world champion Sir Lewis Hamilton might soon turn into an actor in a Hollywood F1 movie co-starring with Brad Pitt.

According to entertainment website Deadline – Apple TV is in exclusive negotiations and will close the first big film package of the new year. That’s the highly competitive race to acquire an untitled pitch package that will have Brad Pitt playing a racer who comes out of retirement to mentor a younger driver and take his final stab at glory on the track as the younger driver’s teammate.

“We hear that British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton is involved in some capacity”. In the latest update, however, which contains the details of the plot as described above, there is no mention of the seven-time former World Champion. Deadline added.

The report also states that F1 commercial rights holders Liberty Media is not involved in the film. However, what we know is that the approximate budget is $140 million, which interestingly is the budget cap for F1 teams.

Following the huge success of the Netflix’s ‘Drive to Survive’ series, Hollywood showing more interest, and they confirm that the series return for a fourth season later this year on the streaming platform, with installments expected to be released in late February or early March based on past release dates.

“From my side as a driver, I don’t like being part of it,” World Champion Max Verstappen said earlier this year, according to the Associated Press.

“They made up a few rivalries that don’t exist. So I decided not to be a part of it and didn’t give any more interviews after that because you can’t show anything.” the Dutchman added.

Lando Norris of McLaren, on the other hand, defended the show, saying, “I think it’s a cool thing.”

“After watching ‘Drive,’ a lot of people in America are now interested in Formula One.”

Verstappen’s thankful for Hamilton's respect

2021 Formula One world champion Max Verstappen and his father Jos Verstappen describes how defeat Lewis Hamilton and his father Anthony Hamilton congratulated them after the dramatic Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The Dutch young man Max secures his first F1 title in the final in the final lap battle. F1 race director Michael Masi’s strange decision made most dramatic world title climaxes in Formula One history.

Following incident, Anthony was seen sharing a handshake with Verstappen and a hug with his father Jos after a dramatic Yas Mariana title decider.

“The whole team were going crazy, but of course you have the other side where they are very disappointed and upset,” said the world champion during an interview for his sponsor CarNext hosted by David Coulthard.

“I think what was nice, of course, Lewis immediately came to me [and said] ‘well done, congrats’ and I said ‘thank you very much for an amazing season’ because at the end of the day I think it was an amazing season, whether we won or came second.

“We did push each other every single race to the limit, with ourselves but also the car and the whole team.

“I think everyone is very happy that the season is over, to have a bit of a break because it has been very tense and very tough on everyone. But it was definitely a great rivalry.”

Jos Verstappen praised the respectful behaviour of Anthony.

“When I was sitting with Max before he went up to the podium, Anthony was there and he congratulated us. That was really nice,” said Jos.

“Also, during the season I had some conversations with him over WhatsApp. He’s really nice.

“They won seven titles already, so for them it’s a bit different, I think, [to] when we win the first one. But he’s always respectful.”

Hamilton was deflated. Silent. Spent time with his dad, who held his son’s head in his hands.

Seven-time F1 world champion said: “Firstly, a big congratulations to Max and to his team. I think we did an amazing job this year, with my team.

“We gave it everything this last part of the season, we gave it absolutely everything and we never gave up. And that’s the most important thing.

“I’ve been feeling good… great in the car this past couple of months, particularly at the end.

“If I’m honest, you know, we’re still in the pandemic and I just really wish everyone to stay safe and have a good Christmas with all their families and then we’ll see about next year.”
